KORDI, which has driven development of the marine sciences and
technology of Korea for over 40 years since its establishment in 1973, will
write its new history on July 1, 2012, with a new name of KIOST.
KIOST will be the world’s best marine research organization based
on the experience of transformed Korea, which had no presence in marine
sciences but soon became a powerhouse of the world through KORDI's efforts.
The oceans, pristine places filled with limitless energy and life!
KIOST will write a new chapter of the history of hopes, which will
allow the oceans and human beings to coexist.
